Geizila and Pedro's Wedding

Thursday afternoon Pedro and Geizila got married at the "cartorio", a registry by an official there.

They sign the registry. Afterwards all the witnesses sign the book.

We all went to an outdoor restaurant for "pasteis", a fried dough filled with cheese or meat.

Please pray for them as they begin their new life together.

Geizila's Wedding Shower

February 21 was a kitchen shower for Geizila. I praise the Lord it was so well attended. Dianna Penneer gave the devotional before we played a few games. One of the games was that Geizila had to answer some questions about Pedro, her fiance. Every time she gave a wrong answer she got her face painted with lipstick. You can see her pretty face as she opens her gifts.

Saturday night we had a house meeting at one of our church member's house (
Rosi and José) about 10 kilometers from Campo Verde. About 40 people attended the service. Mauro always comes up from Cuiabá when we have one of these sevices to play his guitar and Wayne Penner gave the message. We were able to meet some new people and invite them to our church. After ther service we all enjoyed salgados (a varietyBrazilian fried meat pies). 

Teacher Training Seminar

 Saturday, January 31, I taught an all day training seminar for Sunday School teachers at a church in Cuiabá. I had 20 participants which was quite amazing for this small church.  Although it was very tiring to go all day, I loved it and the training was well recieved.
